A peegasm consists of holding in your pee for long hours, in order to reach orgasm when you finally go. This is a new sexual trend, which is now being talked about in the press, but which is also a source of concern in the field of medicine.
Waiting until the bladder is full stimulates the nerves in the pelvis, and in the end, peeing can provide sensations of sexual pleasure. However, the peegasm is not without its risks, as it can lead to urinary tract infections and damage the kidneys.
Before the medical world became aware of it and started strongly advising against the peegasm, the practice itself appeared to have been born of the publication of a simple message on the platform Reddit a few months ago:
In response to this first post, many other women confirmed having tried this technique, or confessed to wanting to try. It didn’t take any more for the peegasm to become a veritable fashion phenomenon across the Atlantic.
The simple fact of retaining urine for several hours can cause bacteria to spread, which can lead to urinary tract infections. It should also be borne in mind that urine contains toxins that the body should get rid of as quickly as possible. There are also risks of urinary retention, kidney stones and vesicoureteral reflux.
Finally, remember that humans should urinate on average once every three hours, and ideally no more than a quarter of an hour after they feel the urge. Otherwise, the risks of the urinary problems mentioned above increase.
